In 2019 while on family holiday at Miami South Beach, Kayleigh and Barry van Ruiven pondered that there must be a better way to enjoy valuable time in the sun feeling comfortable and keeping the family’s youngest member protected from UV, while at the same time feeling elegant.
Returning home, they decided to launch SEABASS, named after their first-born, Bass. Initially for children, then men, SEABASS is a solutions-oriented brand with UPF 50+ - protective swim and resortwear at the heart of the brand’s DNA. Having recently introduced its first men and women’s collection, meaning the brand now meets the needs of the whole family, providing whole day long peace of mind for carefree days in the sun.
Designed to be worn both pool and oceanside, SEABASS cultivates the timeless elegance and classic charm of the best resorts where sunshine meets style. From the classic Amalfi Coast, to the elegant Cote d’Azur and timeless South Beach Miami. Each piece is made by hand, in a small-scale factory in Portugal. Prints are hunique and drawn in-house. The SEAQUAL fabric used throughout the collection is made from ocean-plastic waste that is collected, then transformed into high quality yarn - contributing to clean beaches and oceans for next generations to enjoy.
