luxury for the ocean

SEABASS’ mission is to let next generations enjoy clean oceans and beaches, wearing luxury UV swimwear that's made of the waste that has been captured from these beaches and oceans.

The SEAQUAL® Initiative is the magic behind cleaning our oceans of Marine Litter and challenges plastic pollution, helping society move towards a circular economy. SEAQUAL® YARN is one of the most certified, earth friendly fibers in the world. It's high quality recycled polyester yarn, used for our UV swimwear.

SEAQUAL® yarn is produced using marine litter collected from various locations, including the Tunisian coast. In partnership with three other brands, we contributed to the purchase of a recycling machine in Tunisia. This machine shreds plastic waste, transforming it into shredded plastic instead of bulk waste, which is then shipped from Tunisia to Spain. This process reduces CO2 emissions and supports a more localized, sustainable value chain.

Sustainability & Social Responsibility

SEABASS creates high quality swimwear with UV protection to enjoy sunny days safely, comfortable and in style. Throughout our entire process we pay special attention to our everybody’s safety and comfort, building and maintaining relationships with our trusted partners and a highly sustainable and fairtrade production.

With fabrics made in Spain, garments produced in a small Fairtrade-certified, family-owned factory in Portugal, and operations based at Casa Seabass in Barcelona, we deliberately keep our processes geographically close to reduce unnecessary carbon footprints during the design and manufacturing stages.

The strong relationship between our brand and factory is key. In addition to being Fairtrade-certified, our factory holds several other industry-approved certifications, including GOTS, Global Recycling Standard, and accreditation for high employment standards, as well as being a member of SEDEX.
